Five questions vendors ask before they pay. Answered, in one scroll.
Pricing vs. The Knot, claimed-inquiry exclusivity, what the four-per-cap actually means, what happens after checkout, and cancellation — answered up front, with links into the exact pages that back each one.
01 · Pricing
The Knot, WeddingWire, and Wedy sell placement — you pay to rank, pay per lead, and sign a 12-month contract to keep your spot above the next 800 photographers in your metro. We don’t. The seat is the same flat $79 a month for every vendor, billed month-to-month through Stripe, so your bill is the same whether the month was quiet or full. The cap is what makes that work: with only four vendors per (category, metro), every inquiry is real and the leads stay routed — no bidding war, no inbox avalanche, no pay-to-rank ranking. Read the full breakdown on the pricing page, or our take on why the industry model breaks in For vendors.
02 · Exclusivity
No — and the system is built so they can’t. Couples only reach vendors through verified inquiries routed to the up-to-four vendors already seated in each of their categories; there’s no public comment thread, no shared contact, no mass-blasted list. The directory page never exposes a direct email, phone, or contact form — you see what couples see: a shortlist you can read, with every name already vetted. See what couples actually see in the public directory, or read the full search-and-match flow on the inquire page.
03 · The 4-vendor cap
Both — and that’s the point. Each (category, metro) bucket is capped at four. When a bucket’s full, the public directory shows four seated vendors and the empty buckets as still opening; we open a rolling waitlist instead of expanding the cap. You don’t compete with the other three on the bench — you’re one of up to four who gets the inquiry, full stop. If your bucket’s open, you can apply; if it’s not, the same waitlist sits behind it. Check the live bench to see which buckets are open, or apply in 30 seconds.
04 · After I pay
Once your $79 a month subscription activates through Stripe, your public profile at /directory/[slug] goes live — that’s the page couples see when your category shows up in their shortlist. Every inquiry sent through the inquiry page goes through our verification (real date, plausible budget, working email and phone) and gets routed to the up-to-four seated vendors in each of the couple’s categories. Verified inquiries land in your leads inbox inside your vendor dashboard — the same place that holds your profile editor and a live cap-tracker snapshot. You reply like a human, not from a bidding dashboard. Open your dashboard after checkout to see how the inbox works.
05 · Cancellation & refund
No 12-month lock-in. The seat is month-to-month through Stripe — cancel from your vendor dashboard anytime, and Stripe stops billing at the end of your current period. There’s no per-lead fee to claw back, no early-termination penalty, no placement tier you lose by leaving. Your first partial period is handled by Stripe’s standard recurring subscription rules; if you cancel mid-period, the seat stays live until the period ends and you don’t get billed again. Manage it anytime from your dashboard.
